About Candidate
I’m Emily, a UK-born creative based in Bangkok with a background in Fashion Textiles and experience across print design, vintage curation, and creative business. My work sits at the intersection of design, research, and visual storytelling, with a particular interest in trend forecasting, concept development, colour direction, and building cohesive product and brand identities.
Over the years, I’ve worked across freelance print design, fashion retail, and running my own vintage business, where I developed a strong understanding of sourcing, curation, branding, e-commerce, and the commercial side of fashion. I’m especially drawn to the planning and development stage of the creative process — researching ideas, shaping visual direction, selecting pieces or concepts that feel cohesive, and translating them into something relevant, considered, and commercially strong.

Education
I studied Fashion Textiles, with a focus on textile design, print development, and visual research. Throughout my degree, I developed skills in trend forecasting, concept building, colour direction, mood boarding, and design planning, alongside creating original print and textile outcomes. My final major project was centred on textile design, allowing me to explore the full process from initial research and concept development through to final visual outcomes. A large part of my degree involved translating ideas and research into clear visual directions. I particularly enjoyed the planning, organisation, and research side of the design process — building concepts, analysing trends, curating inspiration, and shaping cohesive creative outcomes. This gave me a strong foundation in both the creative and strategic sides of design, with an understanding of how ideas are developed into commercially and visually considered work. My background has given me a strong eye for colour, print, composition, and visual storytelling, as well as experience working in a way that is both creative and highly organised. While my degree included practical design development, my strengths and interests have always leaned more toward creative planning, concept development, curation, and design direction, which continue to shape the way I approach my work today.
