Job Overview:
The Art Director plays a key role in overseeing photoshoots, directing creative production, and collaborating with both internal teams and external partners to deliver high-quality, on-brand visuals. This role requires a strong eye for aesthetics, a deep awareness of trends, and excellent management and leadership skills. Hands-on experience in content creation and art direction within the fashion or lifestyle industry is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Campaign & Content Creation
Conceptualize and direct photoshoots and video shoot for brand campaigns and new collections, ensuring all outputs align with the brandβs visual direction. Collaborate closely with the Creative and Marketing teams to develop mood boards, storyboards, and overall creative direction. Present visual concepts, art direction proposals, and detailed shot plans to Creative Director for feedback and approval. Contribute to product naming and storytelling ideation for new collections, helping shape the narrative of each launch. Oversee new launch feed direction, ensuring all campaign visuals and content are cohesive, impactful, and aligned with YVISβs brand tone. - Photoshoot Management
Lead and manage all aspects of the photoshoot process, including coordinating with photographers, stylists, models, and studios. Oversee contracts and usage rights for photos, models, and collaborators to ensure proper legal and brand compliance. Handle pre-production tasks such as preparing clothing, accessories, props, and styling kits. Provide clear on-set art direction and ensure smooth execution during shoots to achieve the desired visual outcomes, while establishing clear plans and guidelines so that assistants and supporting team members can work efficiently and execute the production seamlessly as intended. - Trend & Visual Research
Stay updated on global design trends, fashion movements, visual storytelling, and social media aesthetics.
Translate research insights into mood boards and creative briefs for upcoming campaigns, collections, and launches. - Photoshoot Budget & External Performance Reporting
Plan, allocate, and manage the full budget for all photoshoots and visual productions.
Ensure cost-effective resource usage while maintaining premium visual quality.
Evaluate and report the performance of external collaborators (photographers, stylists, editors) based on quality, reliability, and outcome. - New Product Launch Planning
Collaborate with Creative and Marketing teams to define visual direction and campaign rollout for new product launches.
Develop cohesive launch concepts, campaign visuals, and merchandising presentations aligned with the product story.
Ensure all assets are delivered on time, meet high-quality standards (including retouching), and are visually optimized for each platform.
Review and approve all final creative assets to maintain consistency, impact, and alignment with the YVIS brand.
Qualifications:
- Bachelorβs degree in Visual Communication, Fine Arts, Fashion Design, or related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in art direction, visual design, or creative production β preferably within fashion, jewelry, or lifestyle brands.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in campaign direction, styling, composition, and creative storytelling.
- Skilled in photoshoot planning, styling direction, and visual execution for both product and lifestyle content.
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Lightroom, InDesign) and familiar with photo retouching workflows.\
- Excellent eye for color, layout, proportion, and brand aesthetics.
- Strong understanding of lighting, set design, and visual composition for photography and video.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple shoots and creative projects simultaneously.
- Strong communication and leadership skills β able to guide and inspire creative teams, stylists, and photographers.
