Gongdid Design is a Thai fashion brand founded in 2015 by Peach Wichcha Soponpattana. The name “Gongdid,” meaning “weaving machine” in Thai, reflects the brand’s focus on intricate craftsmanship with fabrics, pleats, and textures. Known for its modern yet down-to-earth pleated pieces, Gongdid creates designs that are effortless, versatile, and joyful — made for everyday wear that feels artful and unique.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop new pleated clothing collections aligned with Gongdid’s identity
- Research global fashion trends, materials, and silhouettes for inspiration
- Research, and select fabrics suitable for pleating and garment structure
- Collaborate with production, merchandising, and marketing teams throughout the design process
- Oversee sample development and fittings to maintain design quality and fit
- Ensure designs align with brand aesthetic and storytelling direction
- Maintain high craftsmanship standards and attention to detail
- Contribute ideas to capsule projects and seasonal creative initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Fashion Design or related field
- 1–2 years’ experience in fashion design. Fresh graduates are also welcome.
- Strong understanding of fabrics composition and pleating techniques
- Skilled in Adobe Illustrator / Photoshop
- Strong sense of color, proportion, and texture
- Detail-oriented and passionate about Gongdid’s aesthetic and craftsmanship
