About The Job
The position of General Manager would play an important role in designing and developing the Thailand Business. To fully own and lead the development and execution of the business model, defining strategic goals and objectives within the market. Drive the full end to end market operations activities based on brand portfolio to deliver the country P&L targets & sustained profitable share growth on the assigned market and business model.

Role And Responsibilities

  • Initiate, develop, lead, and implement a go-to-market strategy and business plan taking into consideration from brand building to trade and to end-consumerism line with strategic directions.
  • To deliver annual budgets, market share growth, and long-term objectives on brands. Managing all aspects of the P&L and achieving it.
  • Responsible for in-depth market analysis to identify key opportunities and understand changes in market direction, trends, and competition to best influence the trade and consumers leading up to opportunities for the brand’s development and equity.
  • Develop and implement Marketing strategies to drive brands’ awareness to deliver KPIs and market share growth.
  • Proactively and effectively anticipate & manage risk for the business.
  • Ensure all sales, marketing and education initiatives are unified with the global brand DNA and positioning.
  • Monitor performance against plans and KPIs, recommend remedial actions promptly.
  • Build a strong local market presence and identify gaps in the brand portfolio and initiate discussions with key stakeholders.
  • Create a strong digital revenue channel for the brands
  • Manage contracts and agreements with trade, partners, and vendors in consultation with Corporate Legal.
  • Participate in Global projects. Take an active role in providing input to the development of both International and Global strategies.
  • Ensure that monthly and annual financial statements prepared by own Finance reflect the financial position.
  • Ensure that investment and CAPEX commitments are monitored and maintained within the allotted budget.
  • Mentor and coach team to lead them to achieve brand’s vision and business plan milestones. 

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

  • Strategic Planning Skills the development and implementation of a clear strategic plan for the business.
  • Financial Planning Skills to look at the future of the business and making key investments and investment recommendations.
  • Leadership to support the development of a healthy internal culture that retains key employees and encourages their professional development and leading the assigned market.
  • A proven track record in a senior position in Beauty having worked with multiple business models and attained successes.
  • Strong understanding of the Thailand business landscape and channels
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation and consensus-building skills and the ability to work in an environment which requires flexibility and adaptability.
  • To work collaboratively with cross-functional and global teams to achieve overall business objectives.
  • Proactive and hands-on personality with strong project management skills
  • Regarded as a credible trusted leader of the business
  • Fluent in English

Work Experience

  • 10 years of relevant working experiences within the Beauty (cosmetics and skin care) industry with at least 5 years in a similar role.
  • Track record of developing the Thailand market and building up from scratch.
  • Multinational Exposure

Qualifications And Education Requirements

  • Minimum bachelor’s degree/Master’s Degree in business / Marketing and related disciplines
