Job Summary

The Graphic Designer is an important component of the school’s Marketing & Communications. As such, he or she is expected to be a supportive member of staff and to be willing to responsibilities for a variety of tasks including the understanding of use of the brand standards.

Responsibilities

  • Design internal and external promotional materials, publications and multimedia work according to established brand standards- Fill requests from various school departments
    • Fill requests from various school programmes
    • Create materials for events and programmes
    • Create school marketing materials such as Prospectus, Annual Report, brochures
  • Contribute to the building of a strong, consistent school brand
  • Create templates for various platforms and needs
  • Approve and provide feedback for stakeholder-submitted designs
  • Assist in the planning and coordination of the school’s internal and external communication, promotional activities and events
  • Collaborate with external companies/providers to support projects
  • Build relationship with creative external service providers
  • Identify opportunities to improve existing systems and procedures to optimize departmental resources
  • Grow design skills through continual industry reviews and professional development opportunities
  • Conduct other duties as required by the Head of Department

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, multimedia design, or related field
  • Minimum of 3 years experience working in a creative studio or minimum of 3 years experience working in a creative design studio
  • Expertise in Adobe suite: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, XD/Figma, PowerPoint/Keynote/Slides
  • Experience with the following would be beneficial: Premier/Final Cut Pro, After Effects, Da Vinci Resolve
  • Knowledge/experience in traditional visual art would be advantageous
  • High level of fluency in English (crucial)
  • Strong interpersonal & communication skills
  • Creativity
  • Team player
  • Good problem-solving skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • People-oriented/customer first mentality
  • Flexibility and ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously
  • Knowledge of photography principles is desirable
