The Head of Social Media is a marketing and content specialist who leads the company’s social media strategy and builds the global profile, positioning and awareness of Centara Hotels & Resorts through the social platforms of both Centara and relevant partners and influencers. This is a key corporate role in one of the most significant growth areas of the business and reputation-drivers of the organisation. The role transcends marketing, PR, digital and customer service functions and requires deep brand understanding, customer insight and exemplary cross-functional collaboration and influence.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Create social media strategies that build strong brand recognition and engagement
2. Develop interactive and engaging social media content and campaigns
3. Facilitate the scaling of brand and company awareness through diverse and relevant social media channels
4. Directly own all Corporate social accounts across all relevant global platforms
5. Set strategy for and manage COSI, Centara’s lifestyle brand’s social media strategy
6. Define and own company SOPs for social media usage and management
7. Set the company standards for usage and conduct twice annual training workshop for all social media managers throughout the company
8. Set strategy, KPIs and framework for hotel social media managers
9. Create actionable strategies to both grow and maintain followers through popular social media platforms such as Twitter, Facebook, Weichat, YouTube, Tiktok and LinkedIn amongst others as applicable
10. Influencer and KOL outreach strategy and management 11. Oversee the creating and implementation of the monthly editorial calendar which includes monthly metrics, targets and sales objectives
12. Supervise all aspects of social media interaction between customers and the company, and ensure a positive customer service experience
13. Oversee customer service provided via social media via corporate and property teams 14. Monthly social media reporting and analysis15. Coaching employees company-wide on content creation and social media management best practices through ongoing coaching and frequent training sessions
CRITERIA:
1. Bachelor’s Degree
2. Minimum 7 years’ total Marketing & Communications experience
3. Minimum 3 years’ managing social media accounts of brands
4. Proven content strategy expert
5. Must have worked in both a local Thai and international capacity
6. Strong understanding of brands, brand language and identities and ability to apply them accordingly
7. Demonstrable ability to drive revenue through social media
8. Proficient using multi-social publishing and reporting platforms
9. Relevant experience determining a target audience and how to cater unique marketing campaigns to capture their attention through social
10. Powerful network of social influencers / KOLs
11. Successful track record at implementing influencer strategies and campaigns
12. Demonstrable experience as a strong and effective team leader
13. Strong and credible communicator with proven ability to influence senior and high profile internal and external partners
14. Training and mentoring qualities
15. Thai language mother tongue 16. Excellent English speaking and writing skills
