Job Summary
The Interior Draftsman is responsible for producing accurate technical drawings and detailed construction documents based on design concepts and specifications. This position works closely with interior designers, architects, and project managers to translate design intent into precise plans that can be used for fabrication, tendering, and on-site construction.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed CAD drawings, including floor plans, elevations, sections, and shop drawings for interior projects.
- Develop construction detail drawings for custom furniture, millwork, built-in elements, and material applications.
- Coordinate and integrate MEP and structural information into interior drawings to ensure technical accuracy.
- Review and revise drawings according to designer and client feedback, ensuring alignment with project requirements.
- Prepare material schedules, finishes boards, and documentation for tender packages.
- Ensure all drawings comply with relevant codes, standards, and project guidelines.
- Collaborate with contractors, suppliers, and consultants during construction or fabrication phases to clarify technical details.
- Maintain an organized drawing file system and update drawing sets in accordance with project progression.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, Drafting, or related field. (degree is less prioritize than experience and skill)
- Proven experience (2–5 years) as an Interior Draftsman, CAD Technician, or similar role in design or construction industry.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD is required; experience with SketchUp, Revit, Rhino, or 3dMax is a plus.
- Strong understanding of construction methods, joinery details, material applications, and interior finishing standards.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings.
- Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to meet deadlines.

Optional Additional Notes
- Knowledge of Built-in furniture detailing or custom furniture.
- Experience in hospitality, retail, F&B, commercial, or residential interior projects is preferred
