Position Purpose:
As an in-house photographer and stylist for LUXASIA, you will be responsible for capturing high-quality photographs to meet the visual needs of the organization. You will collaborate with various departments, local and regional stakeholders to produce compelling visual content that aligns with the company’s brand image and objectives. This role requires a strong creative eye, technical expertise in photography equipment and techniques, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Principal Accountabilities / Scope:
Photography Sessions:

  • Plan, style and execute professional photo shoots according to planned requirements.
  • Set the scene for a photograph or shoot (set of photographs) to capture the mood, style and atmosphere.
  • Capture a variety of images, including product shots for social media contents, ecommerce assets, event coverage, and other subjects as needed.
  • Ensure the timely setup, lighting, and positioning of subjects to achieve desired results.
  • Direct and guide subjects (if any) to capture the desired composition and expression.
  • Make necessary adjustments to camera settings, lighting, and post-processing techniques to optimize image quality.


Image Editing and Post-Processing:

  • Edit and retouch photographs using industry-standard software (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom) to enhance visual appeal and ensure consistency.
  • Crop, resize, and adjust color balance, brightness, contrast, and other image attributes as required.
  • Maintain a high level of quality and attention to detail while managing multiple projects simultaneously.

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Work closely with marketing and other relevant departments to understand project objectives and deliver visually impactful results.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to brainstorm and conceptualize photography ideas that align with brand guidelines and marketing strategies.
  • Communicate effectively with marketing team to establish rapport, understand their vision, and deliver on their expectations.
  • Provide recommendations on photography best practices, trends, and emerging technologies.

Equipment and Studio Management:

  • Ensure the proper maintenance and functionality of photography equipment, including cameras, lenses, lighting, and other related gear.
  • Manage and organize the in-house photography studio, including backdrops, props, and other necessary supplies.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest photography techniques, equipment, and software advancements to maintain a competitive edge.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a professional photographer, preferably in an in-house or commercial setting.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing proficiency in various photography styles and techniques.
  • Proficient in using industry-standard photography equipment, including cameras, lenses, lighting, and accessories.
  • Expertise in image editing software such as Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom.
  • Excellent knowledge of composition, lighting, and visual storytelling.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to consistently deliver high-quality work.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Ability to multitask, manage time efficiently, and meet project deadlines.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work under tight timelines.
  • Knowledge of brand guidelines and the ability to align visual content with the company’s brand image.
