Time Out Thailand is looking for a Staff Writer to join our English-language editorial team in Bangkok. This role is ideal for a curious, culturally plugged-in storyteller who’s excited about city life, events, food, travel and everything that makes Bangkok (and Thailand) tick.
You’ll be writing for a global media brand known for its distinctive voice – sharp, playful, and authoritative – while contributing to content that helps readers discover the very best of the city. English fluency is a must. Thai nationals only.
Key Responsibilities:
- Write, edit and publish English-language content across Time Out Thailand’s platforms, including:
- Event listings
- News articles
- Venue features and roundups
- Social media copy
- Research and stay up to date with Bangkok’s latest openings, events and cultural trends
- Assist with content updates and evergreen articles
- Work closely with editors to ensure all content aligns with Time Out’s tone of voice and editorial standards
- Attend events, openings and media previews when required
- Support content planning and weekly editorial output
Requirements:
- Thai nationality
- Fluent in written and spoken English (strong editorial writing skills essential)
- 1-2 years of writing, journalism, or content creation experience at a minimum (media experience preferred but not essential)
- A strong interest in Bangkok’s lifestyle scene – food, nightlife, arts, culture, travel
- Ability to write in a clear, engaging and accurate style
- Highly organised with the ability to meet deadlines
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced editorial environment
Nice to Have:
- Previous experience with a publication, blog, or digital media platform
- Familiarity with CMS platforms and/or social media publishing
- Photography or video skills are a bonus
