Education
Started studying graphic design and visual communication with limited knowledge from my foundation year and the four years of studying at Coventry University has enabled me to develop and gain new and further skills and experience in both design disciplines and personal/professional development.
Erasmus year abroad opportunity that I took to extend my university life. I was able to produce more projects for my portfolio internationally. My year abroad had a mixture of first and final year students, so I was able to learn as well as be a mentor to the first year students.
During my time studying my foundation, I specialised into MAGPi (Moving Image, Advertising, Graphics, Photography and Illustration. From specialising into MAGPi, it released my passion and potential for graphic design and visual communication. I learned how to use the industry standard software programs with Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, and produced my final major project on creating infographics around the subject matter of British Cold War-era warplanes, utilising my new learnt skills with the Adobe Creative Cloud. My final major project was aimed towards informing the young generation about how Britain became the top country for producing, engineering and manufacturing remarkable and ground-breaking aircraft and technologies.
Work & Experience
Produced e-learning animation videos on a range of subject areas, as well as developing Storyline modules and courses.
This was the first time that I've worked at a design agency. I had a great time of learning, developing and understanding the design industry and a design agency. I've learnt new design skills and techniques, as well as learning design in real world situations, briefs, clients and meetings.
