Grace Chatsuwan

As a student at the University of Bristol, I developed my skills as a visual storyteller when studying Theatre and Film. I managed different projects in line with my degree, each of which relied heavily on being delivered on schedule and to a high standard. I have experience in writing, directing, producing, editing, and operating equipment. I was part of each process from start to finish, which gave me an in-depth understanding of what must be achieved in the pre-production, production and post-production processes to successfully communicate messages, meanings and stories to varying different audiences.

During my training at the acclaimed RCSSD in London, I honed my skills as writer for various different mediums, including film, television, theatre and radio. As part of my studies, I developed scripts in both short and long form - including short films, feature films, television series' and audio dramas. My scripts have been read by production and theatre studios in the United Kingdom, including being shortlisted for the BBC's Writer's Programme. Accomplishing my Master's degree has given me an expertise level of skill and knowledge in developing scripts for all varieties of content.

During my final two years at The BRIT School, my peers and I set up a theatre company called Pie Face Theatre where we wrote, directed, produced, cast, and organised the staging of our original plays across various professional venues in London. My first play as part of this company, Two Faced was staged at the Hampton Hill Playhouse in 2016 where I was co-director, writer and producer and my second play Little Dove, was staged at the Etcetera Theatre in 2017, where I was producer and writer.
