I received a 3.9 GPA upon graduating from the BFA is fashion Design from FFIT with a specialization in Sportswear. During my program I interned with high profile companies and brands across specialised departments.
I studied abroad in Florence in partnership with Polimoda from FIT on the International Fashion Design program.
Work & Experience
1. Assisting brands in design & production with a focus in sustainability through tech packs, sketches and fabric sourcing. 2. Researching industry trends and innovation to create market reports, tailored to individual brand needs.
1. Independently researched seasonal trends and executed new design and technical sketches to present to designer and design director, aligning brand strategy with a customer-centric focus. 2. Collaborated cross-functionally with merchandising, global sourcing and technical design teams to create detailed and accurate tech packs in PLM for 100+ styles across 5 seasonal collections, requisite with 2D & 3D CAD mock-ups, through photoshop and draping exercises. 3. Acted as primary point of contact for international vendors by successfully communicating design ideas, weekly fit updates, facilitating problem solving in the design process and developing 200+ yarn and stitch requests while actively liaising throughout the lab-dip, strike off and set-as-standard process. 4. Executed designer level responsibilities, under the design director’s supervision, during the senior designer’s extended leave, by training and coaching 3 new team members and delegating responsibilities in a proactive and organized manner. 5. Directed innovative seasonal trim development to fit collection aesthetic and organized sweater studio and trim library to increase efficiency by 40%.
1. Coordinated and facilitated production for 30+ SKU’s by communicating with local and international factories through pattern modification, embroidery mock-ups & miscellaneous sewing tasks at in-house studio 2. Spearheaded efficiency and resource optimization of the production cycle by implementing new organization, labelling and cataloguing system for trims, patterns, packaging materials and merchandise.
1. Assisted pattern makers and seamstresses with 30+ styles in the atelier through creative pattern making and communicating with garment district for trim application against tight deadlines. 2. Liaised cross-functionally with design team to achieve targeted aesthetic in sample production by trim sourcing, hand sewing and embroidery mock-ups.
Communicated with NYC garment district factories to ensure smooth and efficient production, through on-the-spot quality inspection of 15+ styles while successfully streamlining the collection organization process. Independently initiated creation of technical flat sketches for the brands core collection staples to enhance communication of the products to stakeholders for future marketing and production purposes. Collaborated closely with creative director, to successfully deliver creative pattern making solutions for custom alterations, and influenced development of innovative trims and fabrics while actively assisting S/S 2022 design development.
