Job Summary:
The Senior VM Designer, VM Design is responsible for leading the creative vision and strategic development of PAÑPURI’s visual merchandising expression across global markets. Beyond execution, this role is accountable for shaping compelling VM concepts, storytelling narratives, and in-store presentations that strengthen brand identity and elevate the customer journey.
You will lead VM projects end-to-end while acting as a key bridge between Creative, Retail, Marketing, Operations, Training, and external partners. Success in this role requires combining strong creative direction with disciplined delivery-ensuring all VM environments are visually impactful, brand- consistent, commercially relevant, on time, and on budget.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- VM Concept Development & Storytelling
- Lead the development of VM concepts, seasonal stories, and display directions aligned with PANPURI’s brand DNA and business strategy.
- Translate brand values into visually compelling in-store experiences, campaign displays, window concepts, and product storytelling.
- Develop and evolve global VM guidelines and display principles, ensuring adaptability across markets while maintaining brand consistency.
- Create high-quality VM presentations, storyboards, and visual direction materials to align internal stakeholders and external partners.
- VM Execution & Project Leadership
- Oversee VM projects from concept to implementation, ensuring excellence in visual execution, timeline adherence, and budget control.
- Develop detailed VM briefs and technical guidelines for local teams, vendors, and production partners.
- Act as VM authority throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring all outputs meet creative intent, commercial objectives, and operational requirements.
- Anticipate risks and proactively manage display, production, and installation challenges.
- Cross-functional Collaboration
- Partner closely with Retail, Marketing, Training, Project Management, Store Operations, and Creative teams to ensure cohesive and impactful VM execution.
- Collaborate on window displays, campaign rollouts, launch animations, and in-store presentations to ensure alignment between VM and brand communication.
- Serve as a key point of contact between global and local teams, ensuring smooth communication and alignment across regions.
- Facilitate VM reviews, alignment meetings, and launch readiness sessions with internal and external stakeholders.
- Brand Consistency & Quality Control
- Safeguard the integrity of PANPURI’s brand identity across all VM touchpoints and markets.
- Conduct regular VM reviews and store visits to ensure consistency, quality, and attention to detail.
- Provide clear and actionable feedback to internal teams and external vendors to maintain high VM standards.
- Continuously refine VM guidelines based on project learnings, sales feedback, and market insights.
- Commercial Impact & Performance Support
- Ensure VM execution supports commercial priorities, product focus, and campaign objectives.
- Align product presentation, storytelling, and display hierarchy with sales strategy and customer journey.
- Work with Retail and Training teams to reinforce selling messages, product knowledge, and campaign focus through VM.
- Monitor store performance and customer response to identify opportunities to improve VM effectiveness.
- Material Innovation & Sustainable Display Practices
- Integrate sustainability into VM concepts from early stages, balancing visual impact, functionality, and environmental responsibility.
- Research and propose innovative, eco-conscious materials and display methods suitable for global and local applications.
- Work with suppliers and contractors to ensure responsible sourcing, durability, and reuse potential.
- Launch Support & Performance Evaluation
- Oversee VM setup, styling, and installation to ensure alignment with approved concepts and campaign direction.
- Support launch activations in collaboration with Marketing, Retail, and Training teams.
- Evaluate post-launch performance, including visual impact, customer engagement, and commercial response.
- Translate insights into continuous improvements for future VM projects.
- Trend Research & Innovation
- Monitor global trends in visual merchandising, luxury retail, wellness, and experiential presentation.
- Introduce new ideas, formats, materials, and best practices to enhance VM innovation.
- Benchmark competitors and adjacent industries to continuously elevate PAÑPURI’s VM positioning.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Visual Merchandising, Interior Design, Design, Marketing, or related field. 6-10 years of experience in VM, retail design, store presentation, or brand environment development, preferably in luxury, beauty, or wellness industries.
- Proven ability to lead VM concept development and translate brand narratives into physical retail presentation.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating both creative vision and executed VM projects.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and visual presentation software; knowledge of SketchUp, AutoCAD, or 3D tools is a plus.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple campaigns and store rollouts across regions.
- Experience working cross-functionally with Retail, Marketing, Operations, and Training teams. Solid understanding of customer journey, product storytelling, and visual hierarchy. Knowledge of sustainable display practices and materials.
- Excellent communication skills in English; ability to work in a global, multicultural environment. Detail-oriented with a strong sensitivity to luxury aesthetics and brand consistency.
