LATTRIX
LATTRIX is a project inspired by the challenges of 3D printing, particularly the issue of support structures used to hold printed parts, which often become waste and are difficult to recycle. The goal is to design objects that can be printed with minimal or no supports, reducing material use and waste while maintaining maximum strength.
The lattice structure—known for its lightweight yet strong properties—has been widely used in industries like automotive and aerospace to cut production costs. However, it is rarely applied in furniture design. This project integrates lattice structures as the core design element for 3D printed furniture, enabling self-supporting prints that minimize material consumption and waste without compromising durability.
