The identity conflict between the military and opposition independent groups in the deep southern region of Thailand creates a violent image of the southern region. From that image, it prevents the region from growing through its rich natural resources, land, and natural travel spots, and is hidden as a dangerous state nobody wants to visit. After several field surveys, most of the locals are worrying about the βEconomicsβ in the deep southern region due to the lack of external visitors.
The identity conflict has been believed to be solved by a military force that led to the high density of military camps in Pattani, Yala, and Narathiwas, under the label of βprotecting the innocentsβ while in most cases the independent group attacked the military camps and official sites aiming for the deep-south beneficial agreement.
I believe that the solution to the identity issue in the Deep South is not by using military force against objectors but the peace negotiation without any military force in the process that leads to the βDemilitarizeβ operation starting in βInkayutβ fort in Pattani that aims to change the image of the dangerous deep south by turning it into Oil palm Industrial estate on the previous airforce airport that will turn into a public space and propose a 25years plan without intervening the locals site but the military site instead. The end result of this site is to be fully occupied by public facilities and give liberation to Deep South people to break free from the image created by the military while efficiently developing the economy.
