เมื่อความผิดพลาดเกิดขึ้น หลายคนมักโกรธและไม่พอใจในตัวเอง จนกลายเป็นไม่รักตัวเองและส่งผลต่อสุขภาพจิต ทั้งที่ความสมบูรณ์แบบไม่มีอยู่จริง มนุษย์ทุกคนล้วนมีข้อบกพร่อง หากเรายอมรับและปล่อยวาง วันหนึ่งเราจะหลุดพ้นจากความกดดันและยอมรับตัวเองได้ในที่สุด
The Crooked Circle คือซีรีส์งานกระดาษที่ใช้ “วงกลม” สื่อถึงความสมบูรณ์แบบและไม่มีจุดเริ่มต้นหรือจุดสิ้นสุด เปรียบเสมือนความเป็นเพอร์เฟคชั่นนิสต์ในตัวคนเรา แม้งานฝีมือจะไม่เท่าทันเทคโนโลยี แต่ความไม่สมบูรณ์แบบนั้นได้รับการยอมรับและปล่อยวางแล้ว หวังว่างานชิ้นนี้จะทำให้ผู้คนเข้าใจและยอมรับในความไม่สมบูรณ์แบบของตัวเอง มากกว่านั้น หวังว่างานชิ้นนี้จะสร้างความตระหนักให้สังคมหันมาให้ความสนใจกับความอันตรายของปัญหาสุขภาพจิตอย่างจริงจังมากขึ้น
Have you ever tried to understand and accept your imperfections?
Sometimes, when mistakes and flaws occur, people often respond with anger and dissatisfaction toward their own imperfections, leading to self-rejection. However, perfection is unrealistic, imperfection is part of being human. By embracing acceptance and letting go, individuals may eventually free themselves from pressure and come to accept who they are.
The Crooked Circle is a series of paper featuring circles as the main element in every piece. The circle symbolizes perfection and balance, an endless shape with no beginning and no end. This shape represents people with perfectionist tendencies. Even though handmade work may not be as flawless as something made with technology, but all imperfections are accepted and letting go. This project aims to empower individuals to understand and accept their imperfections. Moreover, with the hope that this project will raise awareness about the dangers of mental health issues.
